The model that takes you further...
Coaching with Guldberg company is based on the Co-Active Coaching Model

Source: CTI
The concept of "Co-Active" refers to the fundamental nature of the coaching relationship: Coach and client are active collaborators in an alliance between two equal individuals with the purpose of meeting the clientÃs needs. The four "cornerstones" of the model form the foundation of Co-Active Coaching:
- You are considered naturally creative, resourceful, and whole.
- Co-Active Coaching addresses all aspects of your life - as these are highly interconnected.
- The agenda comes from you.
- Your coach will continuously follow you and adapt to your needs in the given moment - as in a dance between you and your coach.
On the basis of the cornerstones, an alliance is designed between you and your coach. This alliance defines how you and your coach cooperate so as to maximize your outcome of the coaching process. The design is unique to each coach-client relationship. Based on the cornerstones and the designed alliance, the coaching will take place through the use of professional tools based on the five contexts:
- Enhanced active listening
- Intuition
- Forwarding action and deepening learning
- Self-management
- Genuine curiosity
The cornerstones and the five contexts are constantly in play throughout the coaching process. Also, the designed alliance will continuously be redesigned, whenever there is a need for that. Overall, the goal is to provide you with a higher degree of:
- Fulfillment
- Balance
- Process
How is Coaching Different From Consulting and Therapy?
Three main questions must be answered to distinguish between coaching, consulting, and therapy:
- Who holds the answers?
- Is the client considered "whole" or "broken"? "Broken" refers to the client being considered ill, somehow disfunctioning, or needs "fixing" in any way.
- Where is the focus on a timeline of the client's life: Past, present, or future?
In Coaching
- The client holds the answers
- The client is considered "whole" - not "broken". If the client in fact is "broken", it does not mean that coaching is out of the question. Actually, coaching can be a very helpful supplement to other treatments. However, in order to begin with or proceed with the coaching, Guldberg Company will require that the client at the same time is receiving the appropriate medical treatment, therapy, or whatever might be needed.
- Focus is primarily on the present and the future
Consulting is different from coaching because
- The consultant holds the majority of the answers
Therapy is different from coaching because
- The therapist holds some of the answers
- The client is often considered "broken"
- Focus on a timeline of the client's life is just as much on the past as on the present or the future

"Coaching is what makes baby
birds fly. It is the EYE-OPENER: Opening their eyes to what is
possible for them. Letting them discover that they were born to fly. It is the GENTLE PUSH: Pushing
them gently out of the nest. Making them try out and exercise their
wings as they realize that they ACTUALLY CAN FLY!"
